This Blog page has been set up to provide a platform for practitioners to share their practical examples of education for sustainable development in the early years. As children get older and begin to develop their understanding of sustainable development it will become increasingly important that we develop curriculum projects that include each of the three pillars: the economic, environmental and the social and cultural. But at this early stage of curriculum development there is currently a particular need to develop practice in the context of children’s emergent understandings of the economy and thrift, and in terms of international and intercultural understanding. Projects with a particual environmental focus should therefore be posted here. For projects with more of an environmental or social/cultural flavour, please post them on the following pages:
